Composer, sound designer, instrumental performer, radio producer,
media artist, audio installation artist...

No matter how you define it, sonic art usually invokes
passionate responses and strong commitments
from those who make it.

In a world that is increasingly inundated with unwanted sound,
it becomes harder and harder to make sound meaningful. 

The sounds that reach us are bewilderingly varied. 
Or mind-numbingly redundant.

So we hear, but don’t listen. Or we listen, but don’t understand.  
And if we do understand, we don’t bother to react.  

Listening. Understanding. Reacting.

These are the ways I seek to engage those who hear my work.
